The summer solstice is when the sun is at it's highest point in the sky. The counter axis of this is the winter solstice which is lowest point the sun falls in the sky.
summer solstice - around june 21st winter solstice - around december 22th
If we plug in these dates into 3ds, sketchup, etc. Then we will be able to observe the solar extremes...and shading results...
